Best Environmental Practices and
Resource Conservation

Environmental responsibility has been an integral part of the FabPac culture and philosophy for many years. Paperboard packaging provides distinct advantages over other forms of packaging, and it fits with our corporate desire to preserve and recycle. We have a universal respect for our planet and its resources, and FabPac demonstrates these practices through two principal focus areas, environmentally responsible materials sourcing and companywide waste reduction practices.
FabPac is FSC-certified and has access to FSC-certified paperboard stock from responsibly managed forests. We print using soy-based inks, as opposed to traditional petroleum-based inks. Soy inks make paper easier to recycle down the road, and they release far fewer VOCs into the air, improving the air quality for our employees. As a company, we have established an aggressive recycling goal of letting nothing go to waste. We also recycle the wood used in our production processes.

Eco-Friendly Innovations

Products from fiber-based materials means that they are easily recyclable and often compostable. Several products are also made from recycled boards. We continually work to improve our products’ environmental impact and educate our customers on choosing sustainability.
Paperboard is a renewable resource. Tree crops are grown in certified tree farms, where they are planted, harvested, and replanted for use in packaging, paper, and other disposable products. Recycling or composting paperboard packaging reduces non-renewable packaging waste that would otherwise be sitting in landfills. Almost all paperboard comes from certified farms that plant, harvest, and replant trees specifically for the paper industry. Five more are planted for every tree harvested from a managed tree farm. There are 1.7 million trees planted every day.
